Houston Healthcare, headquartered in Warner Robins, GA, has been its county’s largest healthcare provider for the past 50 years. The health system offers a variety of services to its residents and includes two hospitals, three urgent care centers, a heart institute, and a surgery center. These facilities are operated by approximately 2300 employees and 150 physicians on medical staff.

2013 Truven Health Analytics 100 Top Hospitals

On February 25, 2013, Truven Health Analytics released the results of its latest 100 Top Hospitals study, which uses research and public data to recognize the best hospitals throughout the United States. The nearly 3,000 hospitals included in the study were compared against similar counterparts using measures such as patient care, operational efficiency, and financial stability. Forward Advantage Customers Recognized as Most Connected

On July 17, U.S. News & World Report published its 2012 list of Most Connected Hospitals. 156 hospitals from across the nation made the list, which awarded hospitals for having achieved both clinical excellence and EMR usage above and beyond Meaningful Use compliance. Recipients also needed to satisfy HIMSS Analytics’ strict standards for EMR usage, which categorizes hospitals from Stage 0 (no use) to Stage 7 (full use). Only Stage 6 and 7 hospitals were eligible for a Most Connected status.
