Document Imaging and Scanning Conversion (DISC)

Forward Advantage offers Document Imaging and Scanning Conversion (DISC) services to help your organization maintain existing scanned archives as you migrate to MEDITECH’s SCA. Using our proprietary conversion tool, we provide the components and services to MEDITECH customers looking to convert their scanned documents from other vendors, like Blue Chip or Valco. Forward Advantage assists your organization in determining which application modules and data should be archived and converted. Our project management then develops a detailed project plan outlining the modules, archived outputs, and a go-live date. Standard import formats for converted data is provided by MEDITECH, and Forward Advantage handles the rest, including: data analysis, conversion setup and installation, testing, and post go-live clean-up. Optical Character Recognition (Find-It)

Find-It was designed by Forward Advantage in collaboration with MEDITECH to meet the document search needs of customers using MEDITECH’s Scanning and Archiving (SCA) solution as well as those transitioning from a third-party solution. Find-It uses optical character recognition to provide an efficient method for locating scanned archives and new document images. With a text-based searchable field and drop-down libraries, queries in Find-It are easily performed by entering a content description, key words, date range, or form type.
