Stimulus Incentives. The time to act is now.
Stimulus Incentives for Healthcare IT
Through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), stimulus funds are being channeled into healthcare information technology. ARRA addresses a number of healthcare information technology issues and provides federal funding by way of grants and incentives to promote the implementation of technology.
As you and your physicians begin or expand EHR implementations, and exchange electronic health information, Forward Advantage can provide a trusted and reliable platform to meet your needs, as well as your physicians' needs.
What Does This Mean for Your Facility?
More Physicians Implementing EHRs
To qualify for EHR reimbursement under ARRA’s HITECH Act, providers must prove Meaningful Use of a certified EHR. To achieve Meaningful Use, providers must use a certified EHR for: clinical documentation, e-prescribing, the electronic exchange of health information, and the submittal of clinical quality and other measures. Providers wishing to demonstrate Meaningful Use must meet core measures broken into three phases. Phase 1 Meaningful Use objectives must be completed in 2011, phase 2 in 2013, and phase 3 in 2015. With the deadline for 2011 rapidly approaching, you are likely receiving calls from your physicians wanting to know how they can exchange clinical data with your facility. Forward Advantage’s Data Express was designed with this need in mind. The solution was co-developed with MEDITECH and is uniquely positioned to meet the data exchange requirements of physician EHRs.
